Some Verses from God’s Word on  His Faithfulness

God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. 1 Cor. 1:9

Another version says it like this: God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
1 Cor. 1:9

Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments. Deuteronomy 7:9

This is what the LORD says– the Redeemer and Holy One of Israel– to him who was despised and abhorred by the nation, to the servant of rulers: "Kings will see you and stand up, princes will see and bow down, because of the LORD, who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you." Isaiah 49:7

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. 1 Cor. 10:13

The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it. 1 Thess. 5:24

But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. 2 Thess. 3:3

If we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself. 2 Tim 2:13

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. Hebrews 10:23

For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. Psalm 100:5

God’s word is so sufficient to strengthen us and encourage us that I hesitate to add any of my own thoughts..

When I am in that place of doubt and God does something special to remind me of His faithfulness, it shouldn’t surprise me, but it always does. I sometimes wish the side of me that doubts or becomes impatient waiting for things to happen would become stronger, but when I get over that hump of doubt, I am always reminded how God is molding and shaping our family in preparation for His plans for us. Those struggles are different for all of us, but the answer is the same! We have to trust in God’s faithfulness and stand on His word.

It is not always easy to follow God’s leading because it sometimes leads you away from what others may think is right. You can’t be swayed! You have to trust God and not man.

When in that place of doubt, ask God to give you clear, exact directions, and He will give you the course of action you need for that time. He may use His word, another person, a song, an email, but He will use something because God is faithful that way.

Listen to the things that minister to your heart, because the Holy Spirit is using those prickings to help you and direct you. Don’t let yourself be overcome with doubt, but trust God’s word! Not only his word, the Bible, but also the hidden desire He has placed inside of you. Pay attention to who you spend time with and allow to speak into your life. Don’t feel guilty when you can’t please everyone, please who is important, God first, and then your spouse. Lay aside fear and don’t adjust yourself based on the expectations of others. Sometimes we hold back because we are worried we may threaten someone else, don’t settle for less than God has for you!  I encourage you to obey God with all your heart and trust His word for you!

My Weekend Testimony

God has put some things inside of our family’s heart that are way too big for us to accomplish on our own. There are times when it is easy to doubt if those things are even from God, because they are so big and in the natural they seem to look impossible. This has been heavy on my heart the last few weeks and this past weekend I was desperately asking God to give us some signs that we were on the right track.

This is one of the things I received this weekend to encourage my heart. I am sharing, because maybe it will encourage you as well!

Then Sunday morning, we visited a church the Lord had laid on our hearts to visit. God really spoke to us through the message, but He wasn’t finished. Just before the service was dismissed, the pastor called us to the front. I have seen this happen to others, but to be honest, I never really thought God would speak to us that way. I have been guilty of thinking that God just does that for others. I know, it’s that doubt thing I let creep in. πŸ˜‰ I guess I should add that before we went to church, I was in the bathroom asking God to please speak to us in a special way that day and at the end of the service I was still complaining to God about some circumstances that we really needed to hear Him on. So here we go to the front of the church. The pastor told us that he wasn’t trying to embarrass us, but he felt that God had some things for him to tell us. He spoke very specifically to the things I had been praying and complaining about and our situation in such an incredible way! He had no idea he was confirming everything God has been showing us and planting in us, but thankfully he was obedient to God to call us out. We were totally blown away by the way God chose to encourage us that day!

So, I am not sharing this for you to say wow, look what God did for them or look how God spoke to them! I am sharing this to encourage you that God will speak to you too. It may not be in such an obvious way as it was for us this time, but He knows how you need to hear from Him and He will be faithful to follow through.

And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. Hebrews 11:6

What is faith? It is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen. It is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead.Hebrews 11:1

God is so faithful even to use a Pastor from another church to confirm what he has been speaking to your heart. Thank you for sharing your awesome post with us here at β€œTell Me a Story.” http://letmetelluastory.blogspot.com/
