Bienvenido! I am Joyce Montejo and this is where I share what God is doing in our lives and all of those other things I just can’t contain! There are times my writing is hit or miss, because I am a wife and mom first, and sometimes life happens, so bear with me in those times.

We live in a rural area in SC. We have 6 children with us ranging in ages from 9 to 19, and 4 in heaven. One of the 4 spent a year with us before he passed away and the others we haven’t met yet. Our son who passed away had Down Syndrome and a heart defect. He taught our family to love in a whole new way.

Some of the things we love are big families, goats, cows, chickens, herbs & essential oils, music, the freedom of homeschooling, God’s love and complete provision over our lives, playing music together, worship, unique restaurants, flea markets, natural remedies, hunting, cutting grass, orphanages, Guatemala, encouraging others in their health journey, and the list could go on and on.

This blog is a way for us to be reminded of God’s faithfulness in our lives and an avenue to share with you as well. I especially love encouraging others to move forward in whatever it is God has called them to do, so my biggest desire is for this to be a place where you receive that encouragement and can learn from our successes and failures.

When our oldest son was born, he went through a series of ear infections, which led to several rounds of antibiotics. My journey of learning to strengthen his immunity and learn to take care of illnesses as naturally as possible began. That road has led us down many paths, including using herbs, homebirths, experiences with juicing (until we had too many to juice for), and different styles of eating, raising animals to milk, selling them and buying milk. The quest for information and range of experiences has been worth it. We have been antibiotic free for more than 17 years and overall really healthy. That’s pretty good odds for the size of our family.

We incorporate healthy eating, natural remedies, and fellowship with our children and community as part of our healthy lifestyle.

I have been privileged to study with some of the top natural health professionals over the last few years, including Dr. Alison Caldwell-Andrews and Jennifer Pressimone. I am currently working on my Holistic Aromatherapy Certification Level 1 and CNHC. It’s so awesome to further my studies alongside of my "Mom Degree!"

I am passionate about sharing health and fellowship to honor our mind, body, and Savior.
